Window Films
HanitaTek, the US arm of Hanita Window Films, recently signed a distribution agreement with Courage Distributing Inc., the leading window film distributor in Canada. Courage will be adding Hanita’s full range of solar and security films to its portfolio, and will back HanitaTek with warehousing and supply solutions to existing customers across Canada.
Courage Distributing Inc. (Courage) is a Canadian owned and operated company that has been distributing window films, paint protection films and related accessories across Canada since 1992. Founders and brothers Todd and Trent Courage started out in the retail window film business in 1989 in Mississauga, Ontario then began sub-distributing in 1992. The retail business was sold in 1994 in order to focus on distribution.
Courage opened its second location in 1995 in Vancouver to better serve the growing west coast market. Things took off and in 2000 it became necessary to move to a larger space. Similarly, in 2007 the Ontario office was moved from a smaller warehouse in Mississauga to a 9000 square foot building in Oakville.
Courage has gained a reputation as a leader in the Canadian window film industry from their exceptional customer service, dealer support programs, certified training programs and industry seminars that welcome over 400 attendees each year. These qualities help Courage stand out from the pack and sell millions of square feet in window film and paint protection film every year.
Last year, Todd and Trent were the second inductees into the Window Film Hall of Fame.
On a personal note, Todd and Trent also founded the Courage Polar Bear Dip for World Vision (www.polarbeardip.ca ) that takes place on January 1st each year in Oakville, Ontario. Yes… they jump in freezing cold water in the winter in Canada…. The New Year's Day event began in 1985 with a handful of people in a Burlington, Ontario backyard and has grown into the largest charity Polar Bear Dip in the country raising just under $1.5 million for clean water projects through World Vision Canada. This past January over 700 people jumped into Lake Ontario with the brothers as thousands of spectators cheered them on, raising $140,000.
“We are happy to be offering Hanita window film products to the Canadian marketplace” said Trent, “their quality products, service and training fall right in line with our business model”. “Hanita’s flat glass and security products lines offer new and unique films that have not been seen in Canada. It’s exciting to be able to offer these products to the industry,” added Todd.
