Energy modeling - the Hanita way

Thermodynamic modeling of buildings has made energy analysis more accessible and savings more visible. Using approved and accepted energy analysis software and computer simulations for whole-building modeling, Hanita Coatings’ SolarZone experts can forecast your potential savings. This will help you calculate your return on investment and realize the savings.

Hanita's team of energy experts can deliver three levels of energy analysis, ranging from a quick calculation indicating potential saving to whole building energy modeling, or field testing for proof of concept.

Energy modeling

For the full-scale energy analysis of the building, we use EnergyPlus/EFILM for analyzing the energy use of buildings with and without film applied on the glazing. As an interface with the powerful EnergyPlus 6.0 simulation engine, EFILM allows the fenestration engineer to perform a “before and after” simulation to calculate the expected energy savings from applying different types of SolarZone window films. The U.S. National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC), an independent technical authority, validates the solar energy rejection performance of the films.
